A Carousel Fave?

After we left the carousel at Brenna and Matt's engagement shoot, Matt playfully commented to Brenna that the horse she chose was a good choice.  And why, you ask, am I mentioning this? Well, I shot the wedding of Sarah and Glen five years ago at the Roger Williams Casino, and we, too, decided to take some fun pics on the carousel. And I could have sworn that Sarah and Glen chose the exact same horse. So I did a little digging in the archives, and lo and behold --

What are the odds???  Too funny, right?  I suppose Matt was right!  This horse apparently IS a good choice! So if you ever decide to have your wedding or engagement pics shot at the park in Providence, and make your way over to the carousel, this golden maned, bedazzled horse looks great in pics!!

Brenna and Matt's Providence Engagement

Brenna and Matt's engagement session took place on a super hot day in Providence at Roger Williams Park.  They got engaged there, so it seemed like the natural choice for an engagement session....wouldn't you agree?  We ventured all over, and Brenna and Matt were totally cool about indulging my every whim.  You'll see what I mean......

They are so cute and young and sweet!

Awww.....

I love me a good tree.

Nothing says love like a little frolicking under a tree.....

......or like a little kissing under a tree...

...or like a little kissing on a bridge?  OK, I'll stop now.

Ok, so here's where my "whims" come into play.  "Let's take pics on the carousel!"  Good idea, right?  Well, I don't know if Brenna and Matt thought so when I suggested it, but they were good to go, and well, as it turns out, we got these fun pics......

....so it all worked out in the end!

Another whim on the horizon: "it would be so cool if you guys could climb onto that tree branch."  Ask, and ye shall receive.....

Isn't this tree amazing?

Well, that's all my whims for that session.  Oh, just a side note, I seriously considered making Brenna and Matt take a paddle boat ride in a giant swan, but then thought better of it.  I definitely think they would have done it though.  They are just that kind of "go with the flow" kind of couple.  Yay!  Thanks Brenna and Matt, for a really fun day at the park!

Ludy & Pete's Newport Engagement

Ludy and Pete are very special friends of mine, so it was an honor to be asked to shoot their wedding, coming up this August in Boston a la a cruise ship!  How fun is that???  Ludy is a native southern New Englander, so choosing picturesque Newport as the location for their shoot seemed natural.  I couldn't agree more!  We started with some shots by the water.....very Newport!

Ludy and Pete are super sweet!

See what I mean?

Love this stone wall

And you gotta love a couple who will lay on the ground for you ;)

Serene

And who is this little cutie????  It's Anthony!  Ludy and Pete's son!!  A special guest to our engagement shoot!

Isn't he ADORABLE??!!

Awww

My fav.

Silly and fun

Pete was working his pensive man pose for me.  Seriously...he was.

I love how happy they look here.

Ah......Newport.

Thank you Ludy and Pete!  (And sweet Anthony!)  See you in August!!

Cheryl & Greg's Beach Engagement

Cheryl and Greg are the most laid back, super fun couple you will meet.  And I know this from first hand experience because our engagement session almost got completely rained out!  And they just laughed and said, that's just our luck!  Well, before it started to DOWNPOUR (!!), we snuck in a few fun shots.  (But stay tuned....you may see Cheryl and Greg again really soon....their wedding is August 6th!!)

So cute, aren't they?

So silly and fun!

I love the green in this pic.

These two cuties are Cheryl's daughters, Livia and Nina.  Adorable!

We had to take shelter at this point to avoid the downpour!

Cheryl and Greg, thanks for being such good sports!  Looking forward to your wedding day!
