Engagement Photos

Hey boys and girls, brides and grooms, newly engaged couples....many of you have your own thoughts and ideas about engagement photos,or e-sessions, as they are so modernly called now.  You may think they aren't necessary, right?  I mean, how many pictures do you need of the two of you?  You've got the two of you sitting on the beach in summer, or all dressed up at your best friends wedding, or sipping beers at your cousin's annual BBQ, all with the obligatory 'smile at the camera' pose!  Cheese!!!!!!  Ok, well here's a photographer's take on the whole idea.  Get them done.  Really.  You will be so happy that you had this opportunity to take some fun, whimsical and/or classic pictures of the two of you.  Yes, you will be repeating this process (somewhat) on your wedding day, but you won't be wearing a bridal gown or a tux.  You will be just you, in your favorite jeans or your prettiest sundress.  And then there's me.  Photographing you and watching how you interact with one another, making mental notes of how romantic and dreamy you are together. And I am thinking, this is a great introduction to you as a couple; witnessing your charisma, your chemistry, your charm, through my lens.  And now I am straight up, uber-prepared for your wedding day.  I have gotten a hands on experience with you, and now I am going to turn it out!  And hey, if the session is included in your wedding package (like they are here at Lisa Frechette Photography), what's stopping you?

Whimsical.....

.....fun....

.....sweet.....

.....romantic.....

.....or playful......

It's up to you - the mood or feeling you want your photos to evoke.  But either way, it's such a fun memento to have from a special day with special moments that are meant just for you.

Christina & Gerard • wedding {part 2}

Christina and Gerard wanted very few formals so that they would have plenty of time to mingle with their guests.  So we just shot a few classic poses and left it at that.  Here's more from their wedding, beginning with the formals and ending with the reception!

I'm loving Christina's bouquet....more simple elegance!

And yet, another view of this gorgeous bouquet by LiRog of Providence....I can't get enough! But alas, I will stop!

Dessert time!

Mmm, yummy!

Thank you Christina and Gerard, for letting me capture your special day!
